Green Options for Autism of Lucas County (G.O.A.L.) is the educational alternative for children and young adults with Autism. Our staff is committed to providing a structured and consistent environment to students/young adults on the Autism Spectrum with developmental disabilities. Providing a small staff-to-student ratio, the students have their IEPs addressed in small groups and on an individual basis throughout the day. Our program provides students who need more services than are offered in their current setting. Our program begins with early intervention for children as young as 3 that focuses on social and language skills necessary to achieve in a school setting.

School-age students receive instruction in Math, Language, Social Studies, and Science using the Ohio Common Core standards for academics based on each student’s age and ability level.

Our students participate in elective classes such as technology sign language, music, and art; as well as school clubs including cooking, drawing, and a school newspaper.

Our small classrooms, frequent sensory breaks, gross motor activities, and a structured daily schedule tends to limit the distractions that create sensory over-stimulation and allows for learning to occur.

We take health very seriously. This includes everything from the health of every child and every education professional. All of our staff have emergency training skills, and our facility is maintained to the highest standards.
